We start only in markets we already operate in. The signal comes from our own media properties and from the work we do every day. We read what our own audience asks for.
Prove
We sell the offer before we build the product. A page, a free tool and a manual service tell us whether anyone pays. A market that will not pay for the manual version will not pay for the software.
Build
A small team builds the product with an agent stack. The design system, the components and the publishing pipeline come off the shelf. We write only the part that is new.
Operate
We run the company after launch. We answer the support email, we ship the next release and we own the number. What we learn returns to the first stage.
The principles we work by
Three sources shape how we work: the best customer service we have seen, first principles, and the belief that a business exists to leave people better off.
Start with the customer and work backward.
We write what the customer will experience before we write the code. Then we work back to what we must build. Trust is earned in that order and lost in the other.
Whoever hears the problem owns it.
The person who takes the message has the authority to fix it and the budget to do it. No script, no clock, no hand-off. We will lose money on one interaction before we lose the relationship.
Reason from what is true, not from what is usual.
"That is how the industry does it" is not a fact. It is a habit somebody else formed under different conditions. We do not copy a method because it is common. We keep a method because we can show why it works here.
Break a challenge down to its most basic, undeniable truths.
We take the challenge apart until we reach what cannot be argued with: the cost, the physics, what the customer must have. Then we build the answer up from those truths, one step at a time. Everything above that line is a choice, and every choice is open to change.
Profit is the means. Benefit is the purpose.
Every decision weighs three things: the return to the owners, the people the work touches, and the good the venture was formed to do. When the three pull apart, the good sets the direction. Profit keeps us in the game. It is not why we play.
Report the impact, not only the revenue.
Revenue tells us the venture is alive. It does not tell us the venture did any good. So each venture names who it serves and says, in public, what changed for them. We create more than we consume.
What people ask about the model
What is a digital innovation studio?
A digital innovation studio starts its own companies instead of selling hours to other people's companies. We find a market, we build the product that serves it, and then we operate the company. We hold the equity and we carry the outcome.
Does MarketGrowth take outside clients?
The studio does not sell retainers. Two of our companies sell services in their own sector. Socient serves nonprofits and social enterprises. DirectCare serves owners of small ICF/DD homes in California. Contact the company that fits your need.
What does human-first yet AI-native mean in practice?
People decide and people stay accountable. Agents do the research, the production and the reporting. A person reviews the output before a customer sees it. This is what lets a small team run a portfolio of ventures at once.
What does every new company inherit on day one?
One design system, one component pattern, one publishing pipeline, one agent stack, and the operating playbooks we already wrote. A new company starts from parts that already run in production.
